Audiobook coming Fall 2020!

"Fantasy fans will be enthralled by a world populated by werefoxes, werebears, werewolves and more, while evergreen themes--deception, regret, and the seeming inevitability of loneliness and despair--will pull readers in even closer. A salacious coming-of-age novel that will enrapture fantasy readers." --Kirkus Reviews

I enjoyed Lash immensely and look forward to more from this talented writer. I'd recommend Lash to all the paranormal readers who are looking for something refreshing and unique.” --Night Owl Reviews

"Lash has it all: romance, paranormal, adventure, danger, and betrayal. Hall has included enough twists and turns to make [this book] like coils of a snake."  - Anne B., 5 stars

Lash is a thrilling read from the jump as a young supernatural comes of age when he is thrust into the dark and gory side of the 1920's Louisiana Underworld. I found myself not being able to put each page down." - Lorraine Carey,  5 stars

Scarred from a childhood spent in constant indigence, teen years infused with ill-gotten affluence as the son of an influential criminal, and finally into adulthood rife with complications—weresnake Trystan Valeras is hardened into the titular Lash: a whip-wielding killer with a talent for violence and a thirst for vengeance.

Shadow Man (Lash Series Book #2) - relaunching May 2019

When a renegade vampire begins amassing followers, threatening America’s vampire hierarchy, weresnake Lash partners with old enemies and new allies to annihilate them. Betrayed and left for dead, Lash reemerges the victor, catching the eye of the sultry nightclub singer Cassandra Nile, even as enemies close in from every side.

“Lash is a complex and intriguing character. Hall's choice of snake as her main character's were-animal is an interesting departure from the were-cats, wolves and rodents one usually encounters in paranormal literature.”

Revenge (Lash Series Book #4)

Republishing Fall 2020 - waiting for cover!

Returning weary from the carnage and horror of World War II, weresnake Lash searches for revenge on the demon Hex, whose treachery years ago lead to the death of Lash's best friend and former employer, the vampire Abraham Hamilton. With the help of old friends like fellow weresnake soldier Dieter, Lash's current vampire boss Devlin Dalcon, and the demon Shaker, Lash digs into the murky depths of Abraham's past, trying to find answers. But with every riddle solved, a new question surfaces, as more and more conflicting details of Abraham's human life come to light.

Burned vampires are also being found mysteriously indoors, an occurrence that U.S. Vampire Ruler Devlin asks Lash to resolve. Blackened as if they were exposed to sunlight, the scorched vampire corpses leave no clues. Vampire hunters are suspected, but the facts don't fit. No other group claims responsibility, panicking the vampire population as the charred bodies mount up.

Stymied in both quests, Lash accepts the help of the werewolves Morwen and Darwin, refugees from a supernatural hunter group that was decimated by an evil spirit. But even as his allies increase, so do Lash's enemies, several vicious attacks leaving him triumphant but badly injured. Nursed back to health over a period of months by Morwen, Lash adjusts his revenge plans, even as he begins to fall for the skittish female werewolf whose short life has been as terrible as his own. Upon realizing Morwen's terrible secret, Lash kills her tormentor, and the two begin a troubled affair, slowly finding a measure of healing on one another's arms. With new concern for Morwen's safety, Lash realizes that he must have more help, and heads west, undergoing a Test of Wills to win the werebats—ancient allies of Devlin's—to his cause.

Partnering with the werebat colony, their wise leader Mather, and his ancient golem bodyguard known as Outlaw months later, a newly healed Lash follows the winding, twisting trail of clues to the small town of Malone to unearth a secret horror long buried and solve the mysterious riddle of Hex's hate for Abraham. But Hex has been waiting years to claim that secret for his own, plotting from the shadows and enlisting his own horde of demons as allies, waiting for just the right moment to strike back and avenge himself. And this time not even a weresnake hell bent on a mission and his friends will stand in Hex's way.

Demolition Men (Lash Series Book #5)

On Kindle Fall 2020.....Available in print now

After Devlin’s attempts to halt the contractors building a housing development across the road fail, Lash is sent to sabotage the construction site. But what should be easy quickly becomes complicated when Lash discovers the construction company’s owners are Lash’s half-brother Jared, his adopted fully human son, Stan, and a too-friendly female weresnake Maryanne, who happens to be Jared’s girlfriend. Between this and a full load of current side-jobs including a missing girl and a former-Nazi hiding in America, Lash’s hands are overly full; a massacre of teens at a historical cave by what witnesses said was a dragon would be dismissed as a crank, if it hadn’t come from an old ally in need. Bound by honor, Lash agrees to investigate, deciding to form a team of men to help him in his bloody removal work: The Demolition Men. The only thing they lack is a wizard. Then a mysterious vampire sorcerer Torren suddenly appears, offering his magical services to the team if they will allow him to contain the dragon, instead of killing it. Several jobs and near-misses later, the Demolition Men aided by Torren hone their skills and collect their cash. Saved from an abusive home during a job, three human children also now live with Lash and his team, occupying Morwen, the wolf fighter who’s become their surrogate mother. Maryanne is also now Lash’s restless lover, pressing for a more permanent arrangement. Then disaster strikes, when Lash is trapped, Darwin and Morwen’s rescue attempt landing them in the same prison. Dying slowly of thirst and starvation, the three wait to be rescued in time, before their animal natures cause them to devour one another to survive. Freed at the eleventh hour, the three emerge scarred mentally and physically. Forging forward, Lash tries to hold them together, even as the pain of what they endured threatens to split them apart.

“Lash evolves into an Everyman, seeking the one thing all men want and only a few ever obtain. . . . a bittersweet journey.” --NY Journal  of Books

“Lash is a character you aren’t likely to soon forget. He’s a unique blend of characteristics that makes you love and hate him all at the same time.” --Paperbacks and Frosting

“This book caught my attention the moment I read it. As I dove in further, I came to find out that it has a world of its own and the characters are original as well as very memorable. The author is successful in making this world work and she seamlessly incorporates it with that particular real era of the past.  The characters are raw and human despite being otherwise. Hall has been able to make all of the fictional parts work effectively so that the reader feels as though it all really did happen along with the other historical events of the time. Suspense and drama are also present but they are interwoven with the other themes flawlessly. All in all, this book kept me on the edge of my seat and made me emotional. This is definitely a must read.”   4 stars Trisha Dawn Daffon for Reader’s Favorite

" Amid historical facts and statistics, Ms. Hall has once again made Lash into a paranormal Everyman, reflecting the outrage of an individual thrust into a conflict not of his own making but doing the best he can to survive while striving to hold on to his personal values. It’s a tale of a personal war played against the background of a global one."--New York Journal of Books

It ticks so many boxes for what is layered between its pages...I did not want to put it down for anything. I would highly recommend this book if you want something that is going to entertain and rivet you.” -- K. Bennett, Reader’s Favorite

“Creative, suspenseful and action packed, War will stir up ideas in readers’ mind which go beyond the recorded history of the Second World War and leave them out of breath in the process.” --B. Howard, Reader’s Favorite

“Fans of the action genre will adore Lash 4 (Revenge) for its unabashed violence and true-to-form machismo, but demon characters like Shaker and Absalom also present refreshing humour sure to tickle anyone’s funny bone. Though the plot is focused on high drama and action, there is also room to see the development of Lash as he transitions from a tortured soul into a compassionate hero who puts his demons to rest (sometimes literally). Tara Fox Hall also does a stunning job in creating an edgy masculine voice for Lash as the tale’s narrator and takes the time to fully develop each member of her supporting cast. The result is a rich world that feels realistic, exciting and sometimes terrifying. The ultimate conclusion to Lash’s quest for revenge was delightfully clever and left me with a huge sense of satisfaction after such an exhilarating ride.” –K.C Finn for Reader’s Favorite, 5 Stars

“Revenge can be read as a standalone since I haven’t read the first three books but I still understood the story pretty well. The story was very engaging and gripping from the first page up to the last. This book was so good that I might go back to the first three to learn more about the history of Lash and the other characters mentioned.” Lorena Sanqui for Readers’ Favorite, 5 Stars

“This is the most complicated of the Lash books so far and it really gives you something to sink your teeth into. I have enjoyed the books up until now and this met my expectations. Lash keeps getting better and better and you can tell that Tara Fox Hall has hit a certain stride with the series now. If you love a supernatural adventure and want to dig into more creatures then just vampires, this is a fantastic read for you to try. I would highly recommend this to first time supernatural readers and veterans alike.” Kathryn Bennett for Readers’ Favorite, 5 Stars
